Funded by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), Tennessee Valley Uncharted (TVU) is a travel and leisure show where our hosts, Erick Baker and Aerial Nicole, travel to exciting and unique locations and within the Tennessee Valley. The episodes include outdoor adventures like caving and high-lining as well as cultural experiences that shed some light on the communities throughout the Tennessee Valley.
The show is a three-time national Emmy award winner in Writing, Cinematography, and Best New Educational Series
TVU airs on 63 PBS affiliates across the nation, with an average of 70,000 viewers per episode per market. This is the 5th season and will air in spring of 2019.

My Roles:

Producer / Co-Director / Editor

ON SET- As a field producer, I was the primary point of contact on the shoot through all 13 episodes. I was responsible for a production crew of 5-6 people and acting as the show runner on set. Each episode took place over a 3-4 day period and all 13 episodes were shot within a 3 month timespan. As the show runner, I was responsible for maintaining the schedule, camera notes, co-directing conversation and providing visual direction, coordinating with location contacts, managing photo/video releases, managing photo assets for social media.
POST PRODUCTION- After shooting wrapped, I was heavily involved with the post production process including version edits, quality assurance, editing strategy as well as well as the marketing initiatives before airing.
I fully edited multiple "web-segments" that were a part of our deliverable package. These were individual segments that were not included in the full episode but would live solely on the website and social media.
